Second edition of the project “Between lines, reading misinformation”

After the success of the first edition of the initiative “Between lines, reading misinformation”, the Library Services Management of Barcelona gives continuity to the project and renews the confidence to Learn to Check. The initiative “between the lines, reading misinformation”, is to train professionals in the municipal libraries network of the Diputación de Barcelona in digital misinformation and verification to design and execute pedagogical, cultural and educational activities to promote critical thinking with information. The project also wants to promote the role of libraries as a reliable source of information and safe space and sensitize and involve the community in the fight against misinformation.

Success in the first edition

The first edition of the project was launched in June last year and culminated last May with the presentation of results, two closing conferences and a round table in which some participants shared their experiences. In addition, those attending the presentation of the second edition were able to participate in the Escape Room prepared collaboratively by the participants to the first edition and the Learn to Check team. In addition, the first edition also included the elaboration of a case guide with activities related to misinformation and digital verification. These workshops and proposals are aimed at different ages and types of public.
