Training for journalists and professionals

It is essential that journalists be well informed on disinformation and digital verification. At Learn to Check, we want to contribute to professional awareness and improving the skills and practices of communication professionals. Therefore, we have launched several initiatives.  We provide training for the master’s degree in Data and Fact-checking Journalism at Ramon Llull University in Barcelona, where the Learn to Check team teaches the subject "Types of fake news and how to check them". We also collaborate with the Association of Catalan Journalists in the realization of specific and in-depth courses for journalists and journalism students. This training is included in the collaboration agreement that Learn to Check and the association signed in 2020. Finally, we also provide classroom and online training for journalism students at a number of universities: the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Pompeu Fabra University, the University Charles III of Madrid, the University of Valencia, and the University of Rovira i Virgili. In addition, we have also provided training for teaching degree students at the University of Castilla la Mancha and at Blanquerna Ramon Llull University.
